She shakes her head in the negative telling me no
/"Did Cole give you those scars/" I throw in question of my own
/"You saw them?/" Mom says
/"Yes/" I nod
/"I meant to mention them to you when I came back from the meeting but you were already asleep
/"Wait, What scars?/" Jermaine asks
/"She has deep long scars covering her back. Some seemed very recent, maybe a month or two ago. They look like whip marks/" I answer
Mom gasps tears filling her eyes. I know how she felt. Only an absolute monster would do something like that to a child.
/"Did she tell you who gave her them/" Uncle Zander asks
/"She said it was her master/"
I see a streak of rage flash across his eyes for a split second before he runs his hand across his face. Suddenly getting up I felt Avery flinch at his movements. He begins to Pace the room looking deep in thought.
