#Chapter242
Lila's POV
I leaned back on the porch swing in our private garden. Alarix was sitting by a little pond with our daughter.
She is beautiful, a vision of her father; long, black silky hair with mesmerizing dark eyes.
They both stood up and sauntered towards me, laughing with each other. /"Mum, are you sure they're coming?/" She asked.
/"Yes, of course. They'll be here real soon./" I answered, smiling.
/"Even Uncle Athan and Auntie Celeste? Uncle Levi and Uncle Elias?/" She probed.
I chuckled and rose from the swing. /"Sweetie, they wouldn't miss your first shift./" I smiled warmly at her.
/"Come on, squirt./" Alarix ushered her towards the door. /"It's almost time for school./"
/"I hate been called Ashlyn./" She sighed, rolling her eyes.
/"It's not going to be forever. You know how sacred your identity is, Alora./" I affirmed.
/"I know, Mum. I'm still a threat./" She whispered.
