#Chapter288
HUNT
I made sure Callie was safely tucked away before I left. The cabin was full of tricks, I was pleasantly surprised. Callie’s dad used to take Brody and her to the cabin. He built a panic room under the stairs. If you don’t know it’s there, you would never know.
I made a promise to her that I would bring Brody back to her. I know making a promise like that wasn’t the best choice, but I wasn't lying. I will bring him back to her, one way or another.
I lightened my footsteps as I sped through the forest. I made sure I avoided any loose branches, careful not to make any sound. I’d be quicker in my wolf form, but when I find Brody, I want to be able to talk to him.
I kept my senses heightened, but the forest was silent and there weren’t any scents either. Not that I could track Brody, he doesn’t have a scent.
