I walked out from the bathroom to take my lipstick from my makeup bag. I put it on my lips and looked at myself in the mirror. I smiled and took my clutch and walked out the door.
I walked downstairs and found my dad sitting on the sofa watching soccer. I walked to him and sat beside him while waiting for Lucas to pick me up.
/"Where are you going?/" He asked in a cold tone.
/"Have dinner with Lucas./" I answered and it made me turn to him.
/"Brandon told me that he proposed to you to be his father-in-law but you rejected him./" I asked and yes I heard it from Brandon. Lucas didn't say anything to me, I don't even know that he planned to see my dad.
/"You know the answer already./"
/"Dad, you know he's a really nice guy. He loves me so much and he won't hurt me. He even asked you nicely. I don't even know that he went to you by himself./" I said and he just stayed silent.
