With my back straight and calm face, I crossed the hallways, ignoring the bloody snipers lurking in corners to hunt their prey. It was crazy. Don has gone mad. Killing the Italian mob could cause an uproar. I heard his allies are powerful than ours. They will not waste time to come here and burn this place to grounds. His greedy motives will someday drown him. Pushing the worries back, I took a right turn leading to his study. A guy in his early 20’s was standing outside the office, equally shaken as me. He looked close to fainting. His dark hairs were perfectly gelled and nervous brown eyes explored surroundings. I haven’t seen him here before. Noticing my presence, he smiled stiffly. I nodded back and reached for the doorknob of the white door. Twisting it slowly with sweaty palms, I opened it and ducked my head inside.
What happened next was totally unexpected.
