Ronan jerked his head to the club they'd just stumbled out of. They'd drifted further away than he'd realised.
/"It wasn't like that. He was the one who told me all about you and those fucking—/"
/"What do you mean?/" He cut in, his eyes narrowing. /"What did he tell you? I've met him once, a few weeks ago. After we'd broken up./"
/"And you ran right into his arms. Like I'm meant to believe that you wasn't shagging him the whole fucking time./" But there was something about his tone, an uncertainty that overlapped his anger, driving his tone to a feeble, shaking stammer.
/"You made that happen. He was my friend, but you pushed us together. Believe me. Don't. It doesn't really matter right now, does it? But if I've ever meant anything to you, then you'll take my word for it — nothing happened between me and Raven before I left you./"
