He patted me dry and I even let him dress me. I wasn't sure why. I just . . . I couldn't fight with him. Not right now. When he was done, he sat next to me, mimicking my cross-legged position, and he took my hand.
/"Do you trust me?/" was his first question. I nodded without hesitation. If nothing else, I trusted him. /"Good. That means a lot. And you know that I would never do anything to deliberately upset you or make you feel bad about yourself?/"
I nodded again.
He took a deep breath. His cheeks were flushed from the heat of the shower and his lips were slightly swollen from the force of my kisses. I liked the colour pink on him.
/"Do you remember how you felt last night? After you had woken up scared?/"
I nodded. I kept trying to forget, but I couldn't. Worse, it had been a feeling that had hounded me all day. It was like part of it hadn't fully left, like it was trying to grab me back.
