#Chapter61
/"You were very brave last night. I know how difficult it must have been for you. I respect you so much for that. I accept your apology./"
/"It wasn't as . . . weird as I thought it would be. Or as scary./"
Deacon nodded. /"It can seem a little odd at first but after a while, it just becomes natural. I won't force you to call me that, sweetheart, but part of me does hope that it will be something you'll consider keeping./"
I took a slow sip of my tea. It was sweet and strong, the undertone of honey assaulting my tongue. I took another sip, resisting the urge to roll my eyes as the moron beamed.
/"Okay./"
His eyes widened. /"What? That's it? No eat shit? No argument? You're just agreeing?/"
I nodded. /"I'm sorry I'm difficult. I know I can be a pain in the ass. Consider it my way of saying that I'm trying my best./"
