/"He . . . he — we did kisses./" Lower lip trembling, it was impossible to say where the sudden urge to cry manifested itself from, but sensing the rising distress, Milo wiggled back over to me, dropping his head back onto my lap after stealing a lick at the back of my hand.
/"It's okay, Ozzy. Don't be scared. I just wanted to apologise to you if I ever made you feel as though you couldn't tell me./" Her hand reached out, brushing against my cheek. Such a tender touch, my head buckled beneath it, and like Milo, I nuzzled into it.
