The world had either been replaced by a brighter, much happier, but otherwise identical one, or Blake was a super-powered individual who held the ability to make everything around him feel like magic.
I didn't so much as walk down the aisles as I did skip and float; the shock of our earlier talk had worn off, leaving behind baffling sensation that took over my body, pushing me into the passenger seat as it gained full control.
It was such an intense feeling, such a powerful one, that even though other shoppers tainted the aisles, it didn't bother me as much as it usually would. Sticking close to Blake, his presence like an umbrella that protected me from all the bad things that socializing brought with it, it took me a hot-potato of a moment to realize that . . . I was happy?
And I couldn't remember being this happy in a long time.
