#Chapter245
Nothing.
Not a drip of a faucet.
Not a tick of a clock.
Not a creak of an old floorboard.
Not a sound.
/"I am so fucking bored!/" I yell out, not necessarily yelling it to anybody
I mean- it's not like I even can.
I am home alone on an early Friday afternoon.
I remove my new ice pack from my nose and open my cellphone using a passcode.
Once my cellphone is completely unlocked I click on the phone icon and dial Ruby's number.
I wait until it starts ringing to bring it up to my ear.
It takes a few moments but Ruby eventually picks up the phone.
/"What's up?/" She instantly asks
I sigh and flop back onto my mattress with a pout.
/"I'm so bored/" I dramatically drag out
Ruby laughs at my pain as if it were a joke.
/"What do you want me to do about it?/" She asks
I roll my eyes at the slight attitude in her tone of voice.
