His sadness pours right into my heart and it tightens against my chest, somehow knowing his feelings, but still not knowing it. /"Why do you say so?/" I manage to whisper.
/"Because that’s the reality I’m living./" He scoffs. Was he getting tipsy?
I eye the almost empty bottle in front of us and sigh. I doubt it affects him though. /"What happened to you?/" I ask unable to stop myself again.
/"She left me again./" He leans his head on his hand that was now propped on the counter and tugs his hair, messing it further. But what he said hits me.
Again?
/"Again?/"
/"Yes again./" He chuckles. /"Stupid, aren’t I? I had her right in front of me twice. Twice. But both times I failed to see it. I failed to listen to my heart and my soul. I failed her and now she’s gone again./"
