It’s not that he was lying because he wanted to. The truth was that when Ryder mention his /"favorite place/" the only thing crossing Jake’s head was this. Him being in her embrace, being hugged by her, being able to hear her heartbeat and feel the warmth of her body and her calm breathe. How was he supposed to say that? It would sound so cheesy. Jake absolutely refused to say such things at loud. Was he someone to say such cheesy and cliché things? Ha! Forget it. Not in this lifetime or any other lifetime.
/"You know I’m going to take revenge for this, right?/" Jake muttered, his face still buried in Ryder’s neck.
