Unfortunately for him, Jasmine was right behind Ryder and boy! She wasn’t happy to see him at all.
Aiden came to see Ryder to ask for an explanation. He was clearly being wronged but when faced with the two girls again, whatever speech he had prepared stuck in his throat and he was forced to painfully swallow it right back to his stomach along with all the baseless feelings he harbored. When he saw the indifferent look on Ryder’s face, her lips almost curved in a scowl, Aiden understood that he truly hadn’t known Ryder at all. That expression made his whole body freeze as if ice swallowed him whole, his heart beating as if he had encountered danger. This girl wasn’t some dense, cute and innocent girl. She was fucking terrifying. How come he hadn’t noticed this side other before?
