#Chapter62
A week.
It's been one week since that night.
Luckily, the cops caught all the guys who were responsible, and Lucas is no longer part of the gang. I scolded him for days about being involved and how he shouldn't keep secrets from me.
As for Corbin, he had a concussion and a few small injuries but he's fine now. I haven't seen him since that night. I've been busy helping and taking care of Lucas recovering from his gunshot injury.
But mostly, I think I've just been avoiding him. I wanted to figure out how I really feel for him. If my feelings for him was real or if I had just grown attached to him like I did with Lucas.
/"Earth to Hazel.../" Lucas snap me out of my dazed state.
/"Sorry. I've been distracted lately./" I fake a smile, but I can tell he sees right through me by the skeptical look on his face.
/"It's my first day back and it already feels like I've been here for eternity,/" Lucas complain about school.
