A black three legged pot simmers over the hot coals of the cooking fire; the night is dark, broken only by the flickering flames of the fire around which the Leopard Men sit. The pot contains the white woman’s breasts, her eyes, part of the intestine and the right hand of Abdul, the shebeen owner. The pot also contains the claw-knives used in the grisly killing of Donna.
The vile smell of the cooking pot is carried away on the wind, and even the leopard, turns his head away in disgust.
Leaving the group, the witch doctor returns with the simmering pot, which he places in the middle of the men.
