#Chapter117
Time stands still as the demon suddenly stops and turns towards /"Devils Pool/" where Amos is struggling with the two women, it turns back to Piet, evil and malice glowing from its eyes, the fetid stench of death and decay hanging in the air.
/"No matter worm, I will come back for you, and I make you this promise, I will obliterate and demolish you but as you cattle are fond of saying, something has just come up./"
With that, the demon moves towards the pool, and in a shattering voice that rises above the thundering water addresses Amos.
/"Oh master, you fucking mortal that thinks he is my superior, feel about your neck oh master and tell me what you find./"
Amos is brought to a standstill and releases his hold on Peggy. He turns to face the demon across the moving river, and brings his hand to his neck, his eyes bulge in shock as he realizes that the amulet is no longer there. Veronica’s voice cuts through him, fear replaces anger.
