As soon as we were in the cab, headed to our apartment, Darren turned to me with a huge smile on his face. /"What?/" I sighed annoyed with where I was sure that smile was going to lead.
/"What did you two do last night?/"
/"Nothing./" I made sure that my pointed look told him that I wasn’t interested in the conversation that his best friend was more than excited to have.
/"I’m going to need something,/" Darren shrugged.
/"Nothing happened,/" I looked at him straight in the eye, /"we went to sleep. She was upset and didn’t want to sleep alone./"
/"And this morning?/" He led me on.
/"We talked,/" I shrugged. /"She may have something big happing,/" I ran my hand over my face.
/"Like?/"
