Janet walked up to the apartment, hands shaking and her heart in her throat. She felt overwhelmed walking up to talk to Alyssa’s family house. A part of her felt guilty for not taking care of her like she should have and she hoped they wouldn’t judge her once they heard the story. A woman opened the door looking slightly different from Alyssa, but her face was longer and she was slightly bigger.
/"Who are you?/" She asked. Janet placed on a smile as she held her arms out for a hug to greet the woman. She hugged her, confused still as she waited for the response.
/"I am…/" Janet paused, trying to gather her words together. /"My brother was dating Alyssa. Can I come in?/" The woman opened the door wide to let her.
/"I’m Alyssa’s sister Nekiesha, and that is her cousin Rachel and brother Nicolas./" The woman introduced as Janet hugged all of them lovingly.
