#Chapter24
When Shane returned later at night, he was so tired that his face tells it. He had been delayed in a meeting at the last minute and he wanted nothing more than ending the whole thing and leaving. Finally, the meeting ended and he was back but only to notice something was different, but he just can’t tell what.
His mother was in the living room, watching the evening news and only looked up at the sound of his entrance, /"you are back/" she greeted when she saw him, /"how was the meeting?/"
/"Good/" Shane answered before taking off his jacket and placing it on his briefcase on top the couch before lowering his height on it, /"I didn’t know when you left./"
/"Yes, I was tired and needed the rest./"
/"I see/" was his reply as he started unbuttoning his navy blue shirt.
/"You look tired./"
/"I am./"
/"Then go freshen up and have something to eat, Paulina made your favourite/" she dropped.
