Thaddeus and Ryland didn’t return till the next morning from the council as I was getting ready to head to work. Ryland didn’t like the idea of me going, but calmed down after I rang Amara and she said she would spend the day working with me, since Imogen was busy looking after Bianca who was recovering slowly.
I was walking to my car and had just opened the door when Orion stopped me, grabbing my arm. I turned to look at him.
/"Are you going to work?/" He asks.
/"Yes, I know I am supposed to stay home for 72 hours but/"- Orion crushes me against him, his arms wrapping around me cutting off my explanation.
/"Just be careful, I will be in the city later today with Mara, I will pop over/" He says and I nod hugging him back.
/"I’m sorry Evie/"
