#Chapter7
/"Go hide somewhere./" I panicked and urged him.
/"Where? I don’t want to hide. Can I talk to your aunt Lydia and advise...?/" I stopped him by closing his mouth with my hand.
/"Stop talking. Please hide in the closet./" I pleaded, but he licked my hands.
/"Ew.../" I removed my hand, and he smiled.
/"Hey, Sydney. Open the door,/" Lydia commanded. I grabbed Jacen’s arms and opened the closet.
/"Stay here. Don’t come out./" I whispered, and he finally obeyed me.
/"I’m coming,/" I shouted back, turning up my laptop, streaming a movie. I don’t even see the movie name.
/"Why didn’t you sleep? Is everything okay?/" She asked when I opened the door after 5 minutes of knocking.
/"I’m totally fine. Just seeing a movie and reacting to it. It’s so interesting and I’m not feeling sleepy./" I replied calmly.
/"Okay. But don’t watch too many movies,/" she advised and walked down the stairs.
/"Puff. You can come out./" I said, which was barely audible.
/"I’m out,/" he said, opening the closet. Finally, we both settled on the bed.
/"So, you are upset about going to some other witch’s house?/" he questioned me.
/"Yeah. That’s not the full reason. Lydia’s doing to do some powerful spell which is dangerous to her life. She’s the only family I have. After that, I will learn all the witch skills in some witch house all alone,/" I let out a sign. I forgot the witch’s name. I think the name is easy. How did I forget? ‘Can you remember it my brain?’.
/"She will be alright, Sydney. Don’t be sad. I’m here for you. You can share anything with me. I believe, however, the witch, will take perfect care of you. If not, you just tell me I will take care of it./" I lightly smiled at his words. I don’t know whether you can help me or not, but I’m happy to hear the words.
/"Come here./" he motioned for a hug.
/"I already mentioned ‘don’t pity me’/" I remembered him.
/"I am not pitying. The concern differs from pity,/" he said, hugging me lightly. I felt a little relaxed. I fixed my mind. I will be happy even though I can’t go to Sapphire Academy or stay far away from my aunt. Everything will be alright.
....
/"Everything’s packed. I’m ready./" I yelled back at Lydia, who was waiting for the car outside the house. I kept my rolling blue luggage in front of the door and kept my phone on the other hand. Lydia will call me once I reached the house. I heard the house is nearby but still thought she didn’t allow me to bring my play station. I miss all my CD players, games. I can’t bring my TV to some other house. At least I have my laptop.
Soon the car arrived. It seems so luxurious. A young woman with red hair got out of the car, smiling at Lydia. Both of them hugged each other. I was just staring at them like a statue.
/"Is this your niece? She’s so beautiful./" She approached me and gave me a bright smile.
/"I’m Nina. nice to meet you, Sydney,/" she said and motioned me to follow her. Now I remembered her name again. She got to be a good witch. I don’t know where I’m going to stay. Who are all living in that house? I know nothing. I asked nothing about it, neither Lydia did. Anyway, I will find out soon.
/"Bye Sydney. Take care. I will see you soon./" Lydia gave me one last hug and I’m in the car. Nina and I are the only ones in the car while they are four seats available in it. I need to talk about something. We both are staying silent.
/"So, are you going to teach me magic?/" I started.
/"Your training will be hard and strict. You need to be punctual and behave more politely with the witch. But I’m not going to teach you./" I thought Nina is going to teach me. Then who else going to teach me is going to be so strict with me. Oh no. I will run away if they behaved harshly.
/"Why can’t you? You seem to be a good person. Can’t you teach me?/" I asked in a sympathetic tone. But she just laughed. That means she’s not going to help me. Too bad.
/"I’m Lydia’s friend, but the witch is my sister. I’m a vampire. She’s busy so I’m here to pick you up./"
‘OH MY’
How can sisters be two species? Maybe there will be some hybrid issues.
/"Stop overthinking too much. If my sisters behaved harshly to you, you can tell me./" I nodded, and we arrived within moments. Their house is like a mansion. Correction, it’s a mansion for sure. Are these two living all alone by themselves?
I followed her inside to the hall. There are many paintings, books. Some states. But I can’t figure out who’s the sculpted person. I took a seat on the couch.
/"Are you living alone with your sister?/" I asked when she gave me some refreshing juice and she has red wine. It must be blood. Why do vampires drink wine when they have blood?
/"I have my sons and my sister isn’t married yet./"
/"Oh./" was all I managed to say. So, there are more members of the family. But this woman looks younger. It’s all the gift of being a vampire.
/"Feel free. Make yourself at home. Watch TV./" she left towards her kitchen after finished drinking wine. I’m not comfortable right now but I will watch TV to pass the time.
Suddenly my phone beeped with notifications. It’s from Jacen again.
Jacen: Did you reach the witch house?
Sydney: Yeah, I did. It’s boring right now.
Jacen: Then tell me the address I will visit you, now;)
Sydney: No, thanks. I can’t invite you the first day I came to someone else’s house. Don’t check the address.
Jacen: Um...fine. I know you will tell me, baby.
Sydney: I won’t tell you and I’m not your girlfriend.
I typed it with a bit of irritation. I don’t like to be called a baby by the boy who I met a week ago. It’s been a week I can’t believe it. Time goes by faster.
Jacen: But I love to make you angry. The first day I met you, you just knocked me off without thinking. Such a short-temper.
Sydney: I can do it again. It will be even stronger once I started learning.
Jacen was typing but suddenly someone entered the hall.
/"It’s probably the worst thing I ever heard. I’m busy right now. Later/" a boy talked as he took the opposite seat facing me. He’s got to be Nina’s son. He’s looking the same age as me.
/"Hmm... who are you, girl?
