The doctor released Cody from the hospital, and his injuries limited him on what he could do. Since it was Valentine’s Day, I spent the evening with him.
/"Okay. I brought movies, snacks, and beverages,/" I said, showing Cody the items. /"Since you’re incapacitated, I figure we can chill./"
/"Do you mean Netflix and chill?/"
My expression changed as I stood there, speechless.
Cody chuckled. /"Relax. I couldn’t do anything because of my injuries. Plus, you’re not ready./"
/"I could be ready./"
/"Okay, take off your clothes./"
My eyes widened.
/"You’re not ready./"
I exhaled.
/"Don’t rush sex, Coop. No one says you need to lose your virginity before you graduate./"
I sat down on Cody’s bed. /"I know, but we’ll do it at some point./"
/"If you can’t say the word sex, it means you’re not ready. It shouldn’t be an issue if you are./"
