Mom met me at the front door. /"How come you’re home so early? Did you and Gavin fight?/"

She gave me a soft smile. /"Tyler, without honesty, you can’t have a relationship./"
/"I know, but it’s hard for me./"
/"You worry too much about what other people think. It’s time to stop worrying about them. Their opinion of you doesn’t matter./"
/"Well, it doesn’t matter. Gavin got tired of waiting, and I don’t blame him. It was my stupid fault./" I sighed, then said goodnight to her before going to my room.
