Coop
My parents kept me home from school for a week. I had to get my arm cast in a few days after the swelling went down. I sat on my bed, working on homework.
I heard a knock at my bedroom door. /"Your uncles and Casey are here,/" Dad said.
/"I don’t want to see anyone./"
/"They wanted to check on you./"
/"Tell them the truth. I trusted the wrong person and got hurt./"
/"Okay./" Dad left my room. I didn’t want to see anyone. My family tried to hug me, and I didn’t want anyone to touch me.

Andrew came downstairs and told us that Coop didn’t want to see anyone. I ignored Andrew and saw Coop. I knocked, then opened the door to see Coop sitting on his bed. He looked at me. I strolled into the bedroom, grabbed a chair, and sat down with the chair’s back facing Coop.
/"Well, you look a little less for wear,/" I said.
/"What do you want, Casey?/"
