Tonight was my date with Brandon. I fidgeted as my legs shook while Mom tried to help me get ready.
/"Relax, Andi. It’s Brandon, whom you’ve known for years./"
/"Mom, it’s different. We have known each other for years. I have never seen Brandon other than as friends. It’s a little scary./" I sighed.
She gave me a small smile. /"Andi, I know what it’s like to like someone and scared to fall for him without him catching me./"
/"It was Dad, wasn’t it?/"
/"Yep. It started with trying to make your uncle Ty jealous and ended up with me falling for your dad./"
/"Even if she was oblivious that I had always liked her,/" Dad said.
We saw him leaning against the door frame with a smirk. Mom rolled her eyes at him.
/"But it all worked out,/" I said.
/"Not without a few bumps,/" Mom said.
Then Coop said, /"Andi, lover boy is here!/"
I swear he acts like Papa.
