Spending the day together

Brandon took me home after the dance and walked me to my door. He gave me a sweet kiss before leaving. Tonight was the best night of my life.
I walked inside, finding my parents waiting up for me.
/"How was the dance?/" Dad asked.
/"It turned out better than I expected. Is Coop home yet?/" I asked.
/"Yeah, he came home before you did,/" Mom said.
I couldn’t stop smiling as I started up the stairs to my room.
/"Andi?/" Dad asked.
/"Yeah, Dad?/"
/"I’m glad you had an enjoyable time./"
I smiled. /"I did. Night./" I climbed the stairs. Tonight was amazing, and I was so glad to have spent it with Brandon. I felt happy for once.
