I sat there on the couch in shock as Paige ate a cupcake. I’m glad she had an appetite because I lost mine.
/"Pregnant?/"
/"Usually, that’s what happens when you have sex./" She shrugged.
/"But we’re not married, and you still have to finish school./"
/"Then let’s get married, and I will still finish school. Since you’re staying home, daddy./" She smirked.
I looked at her: me and my big mouth.

We told our friends. Our news shocked them, but they were happy for us. I was still in shock. I want kids, but not right now. I didn’t want to tell Paige the truth because I didn’t know how to feel about the pregnancy.
We decided on a small wedding in a few months. I didn’t need the kid to think less of us.
