Things have become awkward

We returned from Spring Break, and Ty wasn’t speaking to me. I tried, but he would talk to someone else. When we got back to school, it became worse.
Finally, I cornered him when no one was around. /"Ty?/"
/"Oh, hey, Gavin. Did you need something?/"
/"We need to talk about what happened./"
/"There’s no need. It was a mistake. I’m confused. But I’m not confused anymore./"
/"Liar./"
He didn’t say anything.
/"I know you felt something because I did, too./" I stepped towards him until his back hit the wall.
He looked at me with furrowed brows.
/"What are you afraid of?/"
/"This./" He gestured between us. /"Gavin, you don’t do relationships. You mess around with guys./"
/"I haven’t found the right one yet./"
/"Or you will do what everyone else does to me./"
/"What’s that?/"
