After Brila’s party, I was a little peeved at my friends. Well, that was until they tackled me and wouldn’t let go of me until I forgave them, especially Mariana. She had a death grip on her for someone small while she hugged my legs.
I caved and forgave them. My friends were trying to help, but this was between Andrew and me. My friends locking the two of us in a closet will not fix everything.
/"Why not?/" Mariana asked me.
We sat at the lunch table.
/"Because you can’t push two people together. It doesn’t work, especially if one doesn’t want to be with the other,/" I told her.
/"Who says he doesn’t want to be with you?/" Gavin asked me.
/"He has a girlfriend./" I rolled my eyes.
/"Only because he’s pretending,/" Ty said, eating.
We stared at him as he ate.
He finally stopped. /"What?/" He asked with puffy cheeks.
