With Prom coming up, Nate and Danny had to rent tuxes for the night. Ha! That’ll teach them to date, high school girls.
Liz and I shopped for dresses. I wanted simple and casual attire, and she tried to appear hot. Yeah, we have two distinct ways of looking at things.
We scoured the racks looking for a dress. We heard a voice that sounded like nails across the chalkboard.
/"Well, well, well. If it isn’t trash girl?/"
I recognized Tricia with another girl. /"I notice you’re still recycling Brian’s insults. It must be great not to be creative./" I smirked.
She glanced at my ring, then grabbed my hand and yanked it to her. /"Is that an engagement ring?/"
I yanked my hand away. /"Yes, not that it’s any of your business./" I crossed my arms.
/"How? How can a grease monkey afford that type of ring?/"
