I ran after Shaun and caught up with him. I stopped him as he looked at me.
/"Look, I know we rarely get along, but you shouldn’t be alone,/" I reasoned as he looked at me.
/"Why not? It’s not like anyone cares anyway,/" he said. I stood there and looked at him with concern. /"Do you have any idea what it’s like to come to a family that makes your life a living hell?/"
/"I got a clue,/" I mentioned.
/"Parker, I’m an alcoholic, gay, and homeless. My sister is the devil, incarnate. My older brother’s tired of bailing me out when I get into a fix with you and your brothers. My parents don’t accept homosexuality, and I have no place to go. You wouldn’t understand because you have a family that loves you, albeit crazy, but they still love you. I have no one, so please leave me alone,/" he said as he walked away into the chilly night air.
