#Chapter44
To Homecoming or Not to Homecoming, That Is the Question
Patty
Homecoming is one of the significant dances at school, happening a month after school starts. Ours is around the end of September, and I always end up not going because a guy doesn’t ask me.
Most girls would go with each other in a group. If I danced, I wanted to go with someone so that I could slow dance.
I’ll do the same thing I always do and clean my room. I might as well be productive.
As I contemplated my non-existent love life, someone knocked on the front door.
/"Patty! Someone’s here to see you!/" Mom said.
I walked to the front door to see Jonas, opened the door, stepped out, and closed the screen door. /"Jonas? What’s going on?/"
/"Hey, Patty. Did you want to go to the homecoming dance?/"
