#Chapter354
A Christmas full of promise
Larkin
I sat in my room, drawing in my sketchbook. Everyone was coming home for Christmas break, and I was single. Oh, yay!
The front door opened. I listened to everyone but stayed in my room. My door opened, and I glanced up from my sketchpad to see Dad standing there.
/"Are you coming downstairs, Lark?/"
/"Nah, I’m good./" I continued drawing.
Dad furrowed his brows.
It didn’t matter because my sisters and brother ran him over to get to me. They jumped onto my bed, causing it to crash.
/"Mags! It looks like Lark needs a bed!/"
/"Again?/"
/"Yep!/"
I couldn’t help but laugh with them as they hugged me. I missed my fellow quints. It was like a part of me was missing.
/"You look good,/" Lyric said.
/"I feel better. Jordan helped me a lot./" I smiled.
/"We’re glad you’re doing better,/" Lakin said.
I saw Luna’s leg. /"You got your cast off./"
