#Chapter214
Life after death
Maggie
We attended the funeral for Bryson, Mike, and Sarah. Talk about awkwardness. I had never been to a funeral, except for Pat’s father. Something was off with the Tilson’s family and friends. But as Pat explained, we had to put aside our differences and offer support to a grieving family.
After the funeral, we were standing around eating from different trays.
A guy approached me. /"Do you come here often?/"
Ew, was this guy using a pickup line at a funeral?
/"Excuse me?/"
/"I couldn’t help but notice you./" He smiled at me.
This guy was creeping me out. Who the heck tries to pick up someone at a funeral?
Nash walked over to us. /"Greg, what are you doing?/"
/"I’m talking to this fine specimen./" He smirked.
/"Are you for real? We’re at your brother’s funeral?/"
/"Oh, get over it, Nash. It’s not like they wouldn’t have done the same if they had an opportunity./"
