#Chapter148
Water sports
Maggie
Nate, Jonas, and Cayson rented jet skis for the day, which gave the boys a chance to burn off some energy. The beach was a charming retreat, but I’m so done with water.
I sat on the beach under an umbrella with lots of sunscreens on me. I didn’t need a repeat of spring break. Everyone flew around on the jet skis while racing each other. They were crazy.
As I sat there, Nash traded places with Jace. He ran through the water and over to me. He took a seat next to me on a towel.
/"Are you sure you don’t want to ride on a jet ski?/"
/"I’m positive. Water and I aren’t friends./" I smirked.
/"Man, I missed doing this./"
/"What?/"
/"I miss having fun the way we did. My parents used to take us on vacation when we were younger. As we aged, the breaks became fewer and fewer./"
