You would think Mother Nature would give us a break. She didn’t and plunged us into the icy depths of hell. Because I’m sure, hell froze over with how cold it was.
I layered my clothes, but I was still freezing. After checking the thermostat, I noticed the temperature kept dropping.
/"Dad?/"
/"Yeah?/"
/"The heat is out!/"
/"Well, that’s great!/" Dad grumbled.
I came down the stairs.
/"Greg! What’s wrong with the heat?/" Mom asked.
/"I’m checking!/"
/"Dad! The heat is out!/" Gabe said.
/"Thank you, echo! I’m checking the furnace!/"
Gabe came down the stairs as I put on my winter coat.
/"Are you leaving?/"
/"No, I’m freezing./"
Mom came into the living room dressed in a hoodie and sweater. We heard yelling and banging.
