#Chapter148
People have issues
Oliver
I studied Uncle Nixon with people. My uncle’s crazy, but he had a way with people. During one of his counseling sessions, he made me sit in the chapel. How do I learn if he’s in his office and I’m in the chapel?
I sat in a pew, staring at Jesus hanging from a cross. I don’t understand the point of crucifying a man for our sins. Then again, I’m not God.
Someone sat down next to me as I stared at Jesus.
/"What are you staring at?/"
I peeked at Conner. /"I’m staring at Jesus./"
/"Why?/"
/"We’re in a chapel, and you ask why I’m staring at Jesus./"
/"Aren’t you supposed to study ministry?/"
/"Uncle Nixon is having a counseling session with someone. I can’t be present if I’m not a minister./"
/"I assumed you got ordained./"
/"It’s not the same thing. You take theology classes to become a minister, then work as an associate pastor./"
