First day of school and issues

Music played as I opened my eyes. Ugh, why? What happened to summer? One minute it was here, and the next, it’s history. That reminds me, I hate history class. Why in the hell do I need to know about dead people? They’re history.
I got out of bed and plodded to the bathroom. Gabe laughed at my hair. Remind me to hurt him later. I showered, then wrapped a towel around me. I’m a firm believer that people appreciate hygiene. I doubt Bradley got the memo.
I walked back to my room and changed into black jeans, a tee-shirt, and my converse. Most girls dress up for the first day. I’m not most girls, and I want to be comfy. Yeah, I’m still a tomboy. I have boobs now, and Gabe can’t call me a board.
I grabbed my bag and went downstairs, joining everyone for breakfast.
/"It’s the first day of senior year,/" Mom said.
/"Yep./" I bit into a strip of bacon.
/"Any plans?/"
