Coming home

After we finished spending the week at the cabin, we returned home. It wasn’t a bad trip, and we had fun, but I’m glad to be home. I missed my bed, which I crawled into when I got home. My mom laughed when she saw me.
/"Did you have a rough time?/"
/"No, but my bed is comfy./"
Mom walked in and sat down on my bed. /"How was your week with everyone?/"
/"It was crazy but fun. It reminded me of when I would go with Matt and Nora. I missed it./" I shrugged.
/"Did you miss it because you missed a certain boy?/"
/"I won’t lie. It was nice to hang out with Elias. It reminded me of when we were younger./"
/"So, what changed?/"
/"Elias told everyone I was like a kid sister to him./"
My mom furrowed her brows.
/"I realized it was only a crush./"
/"I’ll leave you to nap./"
