#Chapter70
Hanging out
Elias
The next day, Tori and I walked through the woods. She wasn’t like most girls who didn’t like to get dirty. April whined about anything that had to do with dirt. I would turn off my hearing aids, so I didn’t listen to her.
/"You’re not like most girls,/" I said while walking.
Tree branches snapped under our shoe’s soles.
/"Why? Is it because I don’t whine about everything?/"
I chuckled. /"Yeah, and you don’t care if you get dirty./"
We maneuvered around tree limbs as we walked.
/"I don’t get the point in whining. The girls at school worry about their hair and makeup. What trendy outfit will I wear today? Don’t touch me with your un-manicured hands./" She flipped her hair, acting snobby.
I snickered.
/"Gabe says boys don’t like tomboys. Boys prefer girls to wear skirts and act like a girl./"
