Someone’s not wrapped too tight

After Elias said he saw Tori as a sister, Tori hung out with Deacon. I love my boys, but Elias’s not wrapped too tight. I thought we would have to worry about Deacon. Yeah, I was wrong. Nate still gives me hope, and that’s not saying much.
Elias asked if Tori wanted to hang out with him. She declined. He offered her a cupcake, but she gave it back to him. Elias went after his brothers. Tori went after Elias.
Here is a piece of advice. Never piss off a preteen girl or view them as a kid sister. It never ends well.
Nora and I sat on the beach, spending time together when Elias walked over to us. He plopped down in a chair. Nora and I gave each other knowing looks.
/"Problems?/" I asked Elias.
/"I asked Tori if she wanted to swim out to the floating raft. She said no./"
/"Oh? Why did she say no?/"
Nora pulled her lips in, trying to stifle a giggle.
