#Chapter66
Someone dropped the boys on their heads
Matt
After the funeral, life at home settled down. It did until I came home and heard yelling. I went to the gate and saw Tim Wilson hanging upside down as Deacon and Nate took turns whacking him with a stick. Elias leaned against the fence and watched.
/"Knock it off!/" Tim Wilson swung from a branch while hanging upside down.
/"Okay, you don’t have to tell me twice./" Nate shrugged and whacked Tim in the head with a branch.
I shook my head, entered the backyard, grabbed the sticks, and smacked the boys with them.
/"That isn’t right,/" Deacon told me.
/"Do you want another smack?/"
/"I don’t know, do I?/"
/"Get out of here before you can’t sit./" I pointed at the house.
/"Dang, Dad’s in a bad mood,/" Nate told Deacon.
/"When isn’t Dad in a bad mood?/" Deacon asked.
I rolled my eyes. /"Help me get Tim down, Elias./"
