#Chapter64
When I see you again
Maggie
Nash and his brother spoke with the doctor. Pat had stage four lung cancer. He advised since she refused treatment, and it's best to make her comfortable. Pat didn't want to pass away in a hospital. I couldn't blame her.
The brothers brought their mom home, and Nash signed the paperwork for hospice. Nate and Pat put Nash in charge of their final wishes, depending on who remained. Nash consulted his brothers because he didn't feel right about not discussing their mom's care with them.
The family came to see Pat and spend time with her. I checked on Pat to make sure she was comfortable.
/"Pat, do you need anything?/" I asked as everyone talked.
/"Yes,/" Pat said with a smile.
/"What do you need?/"
/"I want to have a conversation with you./" Pat smiled.
I sat down in a chair next to hers as everyone stopped and watched us.
