#Chapter474
I’ll be home in time for Christmas
Ryker
The hospital released Val in time for Christmas. She was healing and continued her Cardiac therapy. She has to see a psychiatrist, adjusting to getting a transplant. While we were getting her settled, the others were trimming the house for her as a surprise.
I opened the door.
Our family yelled, /"Surprise!/"
She fainted with me catching her. Yeah, never startle a heart transplant patient. I carried her upstairs while everyone atoned, but it was okay. She encountered too much excitement for one day.
I laid her on the bed and let her rest. A few hours later, she woke up and came downstairs. I got up and helped her.
/"Sorry. The excitement was too much for my heart,/" Val said.
We glanced at her.
/"Too soon?/"
Everyone groaned as I rolled my eyes, walking away.
/"Oh, come on! That was a little funny!/"
She walked after me.
