Graduation: we finally made it
Graduation finally arrived. I could get my brace off and off the crutches. I had a limp, but it was better than having to hop around like a gimp. Our family came up the night before so they could attend graduation.
We all hung out the night before, talking and laughing. I needed a few minutes alone with my mom and aunts.
/"Is everything set?/" I asked them.
/"Don’t worry, Honey. We got it covered. Everyone has been working hard to make sure everything will be ready,/" mom said.
/"RJ, we have everything covered back home,/" Elena said.
/"Good, I want to surprise Emma,/" I said.
/"And you will,/" Marissa said, reassuring me.
I nodded, and we went back to the others. Emma asked if everything was okay, and I told her it was. I needed to discuss something with mom.
Someone threw something at Emma and me, waking me. /"Dude, what the fuck?/" I shouted.
