After reading Melvin’s letter, I wondered if the six of us acted in too much haste about what he did. Yeah, Melvin turned into a jerk at one point, but he wasn’t always like that. Before we even started dating, he was this quiet, nerdy boy who would talk to me. I got so wrapped up in liking Mike and best friends with Shawn; I paid no mind to him.
Then after the total fiasco with Mike had gone down. Nik confessing he was gay when we went to the college campus. I still had to deal with learning my crush was gay. I was still friends with Shawn, but then out of the blue, Melvin changed from nerdy to attractive all in one night. His personality even changed, and it was right after he started hanging out with Gage.
