Did you ever wake up to annoying sounds to get smacked in the face with reality? That would be my stupid alarm clock signaling it was time to get up and head back to school. Christmas break was over. On the plus side, our birthday party was this weekend coming up. Since the six of us were a few days apart, our parents always celebrate our birthdays together.
I laid in bed; then, I heard footsteps coming upstairs. Oh, shit. I forgot. Before I got out of bed, my door flew open, and my brothers piled on me. /"Happy birthday, sis!/" Austin and Nik screamed.
I pushed them off me as I sat up with them sitting on each side of me. /"Aren’t we getting a little old for a stockpile?/"
/"What fun is that?/" Austin said.
/"Come on, Mack, we only turn eighteen once,/" Nik whined.
