After our suspension and restrictions, Shawn kept his distance as he did. I didn’t know why, considering what happened at the dance. He would nod and keep walking; then, he would always watch me from a distance. I still wanted answers to my questions, so I visited him one day after school.
I walked up to the door to Shawn’s house and was about to knock when I heard some commotion coming from the back. Being the ever-inquisitive creature I was, I checked it out. I walked down the driveway to see him in his garage, hitting on a punching bag. I walked up to see him shirtless, wearing a pair of sweats and shoes. He wrapped his hands and sweaty. I could see every muscle in his back and arms as he landed a punch and kick into the bag.
I don’t know how long I had been staring until I heard Shawn ask, /"Did you need something?/"
