Nik would call, filling me in on what he was doing and how things were going. There were bumps along the way, but he was getting better. I guess I should tell you what I mean.

I started work at the bakery. When I wasn’t at work, the brothers kept me busy, trying to distract me as best as they could. It took a few weeks, but I started feeling like my old self. I sure missed that person.
I went for walks a lot to clear my head. Most of the time, they would leave unless I left for interminable periods. Then I would feel two muscular arms wrapped around my waist from behind. Someone lay their head on my shoulder - Leo.
/"Whatcha doing?/" Leo asked.
/"I’m thinking,/" I said, turning to face him.
He released me, then looked at me. /"You know you overthink. Let’s go have some fun,/" he whined, tugging on my hand.
/"Fine,/" I sighed.
